ALPHA AVIATION COVID-19 UPDATE
May 1st, 2020
Governor Walz has extended the Minnesota Stay-at-Home order for another 2 weeks, but things have been opened up for businesses that are non-customer facing. With this change, Jessica is now back in the Alpha Aviation offices and working quickly to get things back to normal.
We received a new update from our belt supplier, AmSafe®, this morning. As part of their COVID-19 response, they will be shutting down their facilities for at least the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately, this means that many things are up in the air. We are unsure of the new timelines for current and future orders - they will continue to update us as possible, but it may be after May 18th before we know more. For customers with current special orders in process, we will update you individually as we learn more.
We still have belt stock on our shelves in many different styles in black, cruiser gray, and fawn - however, as that stock is depleted we will be unable to fulfill backorders as quickly as we have in the past. If your order becomes affected by a backorder situation, we will let you know immediately.
We continue to have full stock on our jack products, which are assembled here in our warehouse. Those can typically be shipped within 24-48 hours. We also have full stock on our Ercoupe modernization kits at this time. We will stay open for new belt orders, stock or special order, and will move ahead on those as soon as the factory reopens.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us. We pray that you are staying safe and healthy through these difficult times, and thank you for your understanding during this ever-changing situation.

Alpha Aviation has continued to grind ahead with processing and shipping orders, and answering questions as they come. Our operations have not really been affected – we are still shipping orders daily. At this point in time, we are still in stay-at-home status and expect to be that way until at least May 4th. It is possible it could extend further - but we plan to just wait and see.
That being said……
Today we learned that AmSafe®, our belt supplier, has reduced hours and personnel in response to COVID-19 in an effort to keep their employees safe and healthy. Unfortunately, this comes at the cost of increased turn times. We still have stock in our warehouse for a wide variety of our standard belts. We keep a detailed inventory and know what we have ordered - so if you have any questions regarding a certain type of belt or color, do not hesitate to reach out to us to check on its availability.
The staff at AmSafe® is working hard to process through their backlog, and will hopefully have a good grasp on things by the end of April - but until then it is possible that any current or new orders could take longer than the anticipated average of 4 weeks for shoulder harnesses and 2 weeks for lap belts. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
Remember - we're all in this together. We hope that you all are staying safe and healthy, and keep your eyes to the skies!

It has now been a week since Minnesota's stay-at-home order was announced, and tomorrow will be a week since it was implemented. We just wanted to let everyone know that we are thinking of you and hope for the continued health and safety of you and your families.
Jessica continues to work from home, and Paula is at the warehouse. Things have pretty much remained the same, except for Paula getting the orders ready to ship rather than Jessica. We continue to take calls and orders, and ship things as needed. It appears this is a great time to work on your planes in the hangars, as we have been shipping a fair amount of jacks this week. Don't worry - we have more than enough in stock and typically ship within 24-48 hours!
Wishing you a fantastic day!
March 26th, 2020
Yesterday afternoon, a stay-at-home directive was issued by Governor Tim Walz for the state of Minnesota that will go into effect on Friday, March 27th and last until at least Friday, April 10th.
Starting Monday, March 30th, things will be a little different. Jessica will begin working from her home office, continuing to process orders, answer questions, and taking care of general daily duties. Paula will continue to work in the office and will be shipping orders for as long as our carriers will continue to accept them and pick them up. As we adjust to this change, we ask for your patience and understanding. Turn times may need to be extended from 24-48 hours to 48-72 hours on stock items to help with the work load change. We assure you though – we will do our best to continue to serve our customers to the best of our abilities.
As we navigate these unfamiliar and concerning times, we wish the best for all of those we work with on a daily basis, as well as their families and friends. We hope for continued health and safety.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know and we will do our best to assist you. If there are any changes, we will be sure to keep you updated.
